Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah, Deputy CM DK Shivakumar attend Mysuru Dasara
CM Siddaramaiah and DCM DK Shivakumar launched the world famous Mysore Dussehra Jamboosavari procession by garlanding Chamundeshwari idol.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah flagged off the Dussehra Jambusavari procession on the auspicious Meena Lagna from 4.40 pm to 5 pm. CM Siddaramaiah laid flowers for Ambari in the palace courtyard.
Royal descendant Yaduveera Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wodeyar, Mayor Shivakumar, District Collector Dr. KV Rajendra, City Police Commissioner Ramesh Banoth, Ministers Shivraj Thangadagi, Rajanna, Bairati Suresh, MC Sudhakar, Mankalu Vaidya were present on the stage.
Abhimanyu is carrying the Chamundeshwari Utsav Murthy, which is installed in a 750 kg gold barn, for the 4th time in a row, and Abhimanyu is supported by Kumki elephants Lakshmi and Vijaya.
Dussehra Jambusavari was graced by a still film and various art troupes. A total of 49 stills including 31 from different districts and 18 from different departments of the state participated in the procession. During the Dussehra procession, many artists in various costumes engage in dance, including the graceful Nandi Dhwaja Kunita.
